SocialBee Review: Features, Benefits, and Pricing (2023)

SocialBee Review

Social media has become an essential part of many people’s lives. More than half of the world uses social media, with the average user using around seven different platforms monthly.

If you’re a content creator who tries to post as much content as you can on all of these platforms or someone who’s promoting a blog (like me!), the amount of work you do can be taxing and tedious.

I completely understand this situation because I’m struggling with the same. I go from one platform, like Facebook, then to another to promote and post my content. But everything changed when I found out about SocialBee.

SocialBee is a cloud-based social media management software created to support individuals and businesses in managing, scheduling, planning, and marketing content.

In other words, you can access all your social media accounts in one place!

In this post, I will walk you through my experience with this social media management app and how it has helped me manage all of my accounts in one place.

What is SocialBee?

SocialBee Home page

SocialBee is a social media management tool that helps businesses and organizations manage their social media presence across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google My Business.

The tool provides a range of features that enable users to schedule and publish content, engage with followers, track analytics and performance, and manage their social media accounts in one central location.

It is designed to help businesses save time and effort by automating many of the manual tasks involved in social media management and providing a range of tools and features to help them effectively manage their social media presence.

Key Features of SocialBee

There are different social media scheduling and management tools out there. While they all serve the same purpose, their features are what set them apart.

So how does SocialBee differ from the rest of them? I have listed below the key features of this tool:

Let’s face it: many tools have interfaces that are very hard to navigate, and learning how to operate a new tool can be frustrating, especially if there are a lot of unexplained buttons popping up almost everywhere.

Well, good news!

This isn’t the case with SocialBee. The dashboard is self-explanatory, distraction-free, and easy to use.

SocialBee dashboard

Let’s first discuss the top navigation bar. You can see the option to choose your workspace. As its name implies, a workspace allows you to add the different profiles you manage.

So, if you’re a social media manager working with different clients, you can create different workspaces for each client, so you don’t post on the wrong profiles.

The add new post button is a shortcut that allows you to quickly create and schedule new posts.

This is perfect if you want to generate identical posts for all your profiles, as it allows you to select all the accounts in your workplace–no need to post content on each profile individually.

On top of the navigation bar, the dashboard provides you with an overview of your social media content.

You can easily schedule your next post, see notifications on your page, and customize the setting of each profile.

Lastly, the left navigation side shows you everything you need for the app.

This is my favorite feature of all. The Content tab allows you to create and manage different categories of your content. You can also set up content sources here, which you can find on the left-side navigation.

Here you have several methods to add different types of content from various sources, such as uploading a CSV file, importing media, getting content from Pocket or RSS feeds, and even integrating Zappier into your account to access other apps that aren’t available in SocialBee.

SocialBee content categories

So how do content categories work? This feature allows you to organize posts into different categories. In my case, it’s organized into four categories: curated, engaging posts, blogs and videos, and promotional.

You don’t have to follow mine or use the default categories of SocialBee. On top of that, this also works as queues, where any posts you assign to a specific category will follow its designated publishing schedule.

Sounds confusing? Let me break it down for you.

When you create a new category, you’ll assign it a name, description, and color. This step makes it easy for you to organize and categorize your content.

Then, you’ll have to configure how you want to queue your posts, whether you want the new post to appear at the top or bottom of the category’s queue.

You’ll also have the option to re-queue the posts after publishing them, which is perfect for recycling evergreen content. In other words, when you add a new post to a category, it will be automatically queued for publishing, and this setting allows you to manipulate that queue.

SocialBee default settings

The last step is setting up the URL setting of your post. Unlike other tools, SocialBee has a built-in link shortener that allows you to shorten long URLs and add UTM parameters if you need to.

This allows you to track the traffic and understand where your audience clicks the link and where your leads come from.

You can also check SocialBee’s browser extension from this tab, which is a very convenient feature of the app. It allows you automatically save articles to your content categories easily.

So, if you see an article you’d like to share on your profile in the future, click on the SocialBee browser extension, and it’ll be saved to your account.

It also features a Hashtag Collections tab, where you can make a collection of your commonly used hashtags and insert them in your post when you need to.

Pro Tip: You can create a hashtag collection for every content category. Or, if you handle different accounts for different organizations, you can create a collection specific to their business industry and just use them whenever you need to.

Easily Post Content with Schedule Setup.

SocialBee Schedule Setup

Next, let’s discuss how the posting schedule works. Unlike other online tools that focus on scheduling individual posts, this tool is different.

Since SocialBee works by queuing posts on a specific category, whenever you click a date on the Schedule Setup tab, you’ll be asked to choose a category instead of creating a new post.

SocialBee Define a posting time

Apart from choosing a category, you’ll also need to specify the posting date and time for this category. Note that SocialBee uses a 24-hour clock, and there’s still no way for you to switch this format setting.

Just be sure to remember that every time you define a posting time. Essentially, this feature allows you to choose the profiles and categories you’d like to assign for a specific day and time.

Once you have configured the schedules, you can start creating your posts. Although SocialBee automatically generates this through the Content Category section, it’s still a best practice to create one from scratch through the post editor, especially if there’s a trending topic you want to ride on.

To schedule posts, simply click the Add new post button on the top navigation bar, and the rest is straightforward to follow.

The Next Posts tab is your new best friend if you need help catching up with all your scheduled posts. It’s simple and offers everything you need in a social media calendar tool.

It shows you the next 100 scheduled posts in three different formats: a list view, a calendar view, and a grid view for your Instagram profiles.

In my experience, the calendar view is the easiest to work with. It gives me an overview of what is scheduled for a specific date and from which category the post will come.

But the list view will be helpful if you want a more detailed picture. For Instagram users, the grid view can give you an idea of how your feed will look with all your scheduled posts.

I think this is a really handy feature, especially if you’re concerned about the aesthetic of your feed.

Social media management tools aren’t just for scheduling and managing posts. Most of the time, they are used to monitor the growth of your profiles.

With SocialBee, you can get the analytics of your profiles straight into the app. This means you can skip going through each of your social media accounts to see how they’re doing.

The insights you’ll get may vary depending on what social media platform your profile is, but most of the time, they include the number of posts you made from the first and last day of selected dates, the growth of your page, total reach, and the average post and page engagement.

You’ll also see your audience’s demographics, allowing you to strategize your marketing campaigns better.

In my opinion, this is a beneficial feature because the data you can gather here can help you understand whether your strategy is working or not.

Not everyone can navigate social media marketing, and that’s okay. If you’re one of them, SocialBee offers concierge services that can help you navigate different areas of marketing.

This is an add-on you get on top of your regular plan. The cost starts at $129 per month, depending on the services you want to avail yourself of.

These services include social media management, community management, ad management, article writing, copywriting services like email copywriting, and more.

Most of these services are usually to supplement your marketing efforts. Unfortunately, there are no design services yet, so if you need a logo for your business, you might want to find that somewhere else.

With SocialBee, you can build your followers without leaving the app. The Audience tab allows you to search different social media users based on their interests, bio, job, or location.

It also lets you check your competitors’ followers, which can give you an idea of what their audience looks like. You can also allow and block certain accounts and even check a profile and see if there’s a connection between you that you can use.

The Audience tab is an excellent way to build your followers without switching from different social media platforms.
